Besaplast catches fire: has to forfeit the race.

The Code 60 that was flagged after some 8 hours in the race, was caused by the Porsche 997 GT3 by Besaplast Racing. At the start of the track, the car supposedly spilled some oil wish caught fire. After some commotion, driver Martin Tschornia was taken out of the car, fortunatly unharmed. Besaplast announced their retirement from the race 30 minutes later.

Martin Tschornia: "I can not tell you exactly what happened. We think it was maybe oil spilled on the track which caught fire, but in the car, it was just flames all of a sudden. I did not know better but to get out. Yes, it's fair to say that the car is damaged beyond repair. We have to forfeit the race, unfortunately".
